Use the Edit > Delete command, click on the icon on the command toolbar, or press the Del key to delete the currently selected objects.  Note that an entire expression is deleted even if only a subexpression is highlighted.


Deleting objects that are no longer of interest makes it easier to view objects that are of interest and conserves memory space.  Note that the Edit > Undelete command1DRMMDN can be used to recover the last deleted expressions.
