Use the Options > Trace Plots command or press the F3 key to trace plots in the 3D-plot window.  When a plot is traced, two of the grid lines on the surface of the plot are highlighted in a different color.  The coordinates of the point on the surface at the intersection of the two highlighted grid lines is displayed on the status bar.


The grid lines that are highlighted can be changed by clicking on the plot at the desired location, by pressing the arrow keys while holding the Shift key, or by pressing the arrow keys on the plot tracing toolbar.  Use the Window > Customize > Toolbars command8SF280 to turn on and off the plot tracing toolbar.
