Use the Options > Display > Axes command to control the display of axes lines and titles in the 3D-plot window.  The display of the axes can be turned on or off.  The default initial setting is to have the axes turned off, since they tend to clutter plot images.  However, if the axes are turned on, they are helpful in orienting 3D plots.  The titles of the three axes are displayed at the positive ends of the axes.  The default initial titles of the three axes are x, y, and z.

The Options > Display > Axes command dialog box displays the following fields:

Lines:

Click the On button to turn on the display of the axes lines.

Click the Off button to turn off the display of the axes lines.

Click the Color button to select the color of the axes lines.

Titles:

In the x axis field, enter the title for the x axis.  Leave this field blank if no title is desired.

In the y axis field, enter the title for the y axis.  Leave this field blank if no title is desired.

In the z axis field, enter the title for the z axis.  Leave this field blank if no title is desired.

Click the Color button to select the color of the axes titles.
